Done today. 5 hours with tea and beans on toast break. Never done one on a 1.8T before.
My tips are forget jacking one side of the engine up and down, just take the other side mount off and drop the thing right down and up. Dropped onto a pallet truck.
Got the other bit of the mount straight off no worries. Fired up fine.
Also, the belt is a bastard to get on so just remove the top dapener bolt and loosen the bottom one, hold pressure on the belt at the water pump and get a mate to spin the crank ever so slightly backwards. Put bolt back in, do damper up, spin clockwise, check marks and pull the pin.
Reckon the next one would easily get done in 3-4 hours.
