tdi 150 tyer sizes

can any one help what is the proper sized tyer for this car it has the vw 16" gti rims on. my mate is offering me a cheep set of Avon zz1 but he recons the tyers i have are the wrong size. Or is he just saying that so i buy em

im picking up my tdi 130 and (i think) they got 205/40/16 if thats any help mate..........

im now very confused mine has 205/55/16 my mate tells me it should be 215/55/16  :undecided:

mine also have 205/55/16 tyres fitted even the spare which looks brand new has the same size tyres

i think it should be 205/55/16.. get the goodyear eagle f1's if you can, awesome tread pattern and they hold well too
