2019 GTI in Sweden via Germany
« on: 20 December 2021, 11:07 »
Hello All,
Good info on a variety of topics!
I have been using this forum for a couple of years now so time for a quick introduction.
Unable to find any good GTI forums in Scandinavia, hence here I am.
Imported my GTI from Germany two years ago as no car with the right specs were to be found locally.
The car is a retirement present to myself after 40+ years of boring company cars.  :nerd:

That is one lovely looking car.  What is the spec that led you to import it and did it cost much more than an equivalent car in Sweden?  Congrats on your retirement too anth1957!  Those wheels look great.

Hello BillSan,
Pricing about the same, just a much bigger selection in Germany.
Spec list: 3 doors, no sunroof (I'm too tall), PP, all LED, cloth upholstery, no key-less (to minimize theft possibilities), just conventional key fob, winter package, self parking (fantastic feature) and some other minor oddities. Used with max 10,000 km (import w/o any additional charges). Found three cars in all of Germany with this spec. Just couldn't pick color but it turned out OK anyway (Tungsten gray).

Welcome @anth1957. Love the wheels on your GTI . I may be wrong, but they look like Keskin Tuning Angel KT19. They really suit the GTI.

Enjoy your car and your retirement .

Good eyes SRGTD!
You are correct about the wheels (19x8.5, ET45).
