My dealer told me today that VW had put a stop on garages ordering replacement rear shocks. Wonder what's going on...

For those of you with a rattle in the trunk area, this worked for me (dealer will have to take a look for a longer term fix, obviously)

- Use a towel as a spacer between load floor and back area under the hatch
- Use a folded towel as additional spacer between back of parcel shelf and hatch.

Have driven for over 2,000 miles with this combo while dealer tries to sort it out and nary a rattle.
