17511 and 17524

These 2 codes are coming on, I can clear them but 2 miles later they are back on.

Just to confirm, is this for the front lambda sensor.

That's the Lambda sensor (O2 sensor) in front of the catalyst.had the same with 1 of my golfs was the wire broke :smiley:

Thanks for confirming it, it is booked in on Weds just wanted to check so they can order the parts in ready.

VAG Error Code: 17511
EOBD II Error Code: P1103

Fault Location:
Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 1 (G39), Bank 1 - Heater Output too Low

Possible Cause:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) Triggered on first occurrence.
Wiring.
Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) (G39).

Possible Solutions:
Check Oxygen Sensor (O2) Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) (G39) before Catalytic Converter.


VAG Error Code: 17524
EOBD II Error Code: P1116

Fault Location:
Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 1 (G39), Bank 1 - Heater Open Circuit

Possible Cause:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) ON.

Fuse(s) faulty.
Wiring short to earth.
Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor (G39) / Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating (Z19) faulty.
Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor (G39) / Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating (Z19) faulty.

Possible Solutions:
Check Fuse(s).
Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor (G39) / Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating (Z19).
Check/Replace Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor (G39) / Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating (Z19). Wiring open circuit, HO2S
