Title: Golf TCR 3 door build numbers

Folks,  I’ve heard figures of anywhere between 120 and 180 total built units for the 3 door TCR. We know it was only built in 3 door form for a very short period in 2019 before the 3 door shells ran out but I wondered if there is a definitive source for the build data. It seems very difficult to find any information

I doubt that you'll get a definitive answer unless you know someone at VAG UK vehicle planning. The person I knew and would trust to give me a reliable answer now works for another marque otherwise I would have been happy to ask.

How Many Left  (https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/volkswagen_golf_gti_tcr_s-a#!newreg)shows just over 900 registrations. 10-20% feels in the right ballpark for a 3 door variant with lots of caveats.

Would love to know how many / rare the 3dr TCRs are.

Back in 2019 TCRs were available to order from about March and approx 6 weeks later you could only order 5 drs.
Back in 2020 using Autotrader figures, How Many Left and man maths, I estimate there are only 30 - 40 3 dr TCRs.

As mentioned you could only order a 3 dr for about 6 weeks (March - April ish 2019)
My maths from early 2020 : Autotrader had 130 TCRs for sale of which 5 were 3 dr (4%).
                                         How many left stated 420 TCRs, 4% of 420 = 18 only                                               (30 - 40 may have been a bit generous ? 🤔)

Well it sounds like a reasonable means of assessment. Sales on AT are currently running at 4.8%  3 door (2 out of 41 cars for sale
No one else seems to have any info
