My mk2 is insured with HIC and in the past my mk1 was as well. I've had no problems with them myself. I've swapped my insurance between car's had short term cover when I sold my mk3 and I only pay ?250 on my mk2. I always talk to Dave who seems like a nice bloke. I have never clamed from them though and fingers crossed I hope I don't have to from the sound of it. Insurance companies are in it to make money which is why they always try and get out of it. I am trying to clame on my wage insurance at the moment I have with the HSBC. It's been over two months and there still not decided, they even sent a bloke from Bath to Stourbridge to interview my old employer, I bet that cost half of my first payout alone!
