Title: A TDI engine baffled
Post by: (shakey) on 03 November 2011, 20:49: right ok i have noticed that on some tdi engines that that the oil cap on rocker cover is on the right hand side but mine is on the left.
can so one clear up what tdi engine mine is and is it the right one for my car :undecided:

What engine is it meant to be?
It doesnt look like a PD engine.

it's non PD direct injection so will be a bit raw but i bet it's good on juice

Post by: Agreeable Slick on 03 November 2011, 23:42: See the square lump your fuel lines go in to, that's your HP diesel pump. Old clattering rotary type job. Noisey but bleeding efficient and very robust.

Cheaper to just get a newer car.

flippin hell thats not in my plans then,would if i had the money will save now for a couple of years then get newer 1.
