*Edit ... Sorry they are Brembo

Pads were off Ebay, discs were from a Local VW Specialist. Only thing that will stop people is the spline bolt but the socket is cheap enough and pays for itself the first time it is used.

IVC, an indie in Leeds, did a major service on my Mk7 and did the rear disks and pads last year and it was about a grand all in.

Don't rate them personally. Wanted a crazy amount for some work on mine pre-covid and got some colleagues who have taken their car there and not super complimentary on the service received.

After my service last week my rear discs and pads need done.  I looked at Brembo's online and you can get discs and pads for the rear for £106.44 all in on Autodoc, this is the disc ttps://www.autodoc.co.uk/brembo/7014355 and pad https://www.autodoc.co.uk/brembo/7624599 seem suspiciously cheap, I use the correct part references, 5Q0-615-601-E and 5G0698451.  Am i getting cheap Brembo knock offs for that price?  On ebay pads are £39 (Brembo) and £169 for discs from here, https://www.volkswagenpartsuk.co.uk/parts/rear-brake-discs-5q0-615-601-e/ assume that is more in line with the price I should be paying, unsure if they are legit? Need to get a price from the local VW garage parts store.

I asked this question on here a while back and was told the Brembo's on AutoDoc/ECP are cheaper 'made in China' Brembo's. Make of that what you will.

Personally if I were changing mine, this would be very tempting....

My local dealer has quoted £305.28 for rear pads and discs, its £105.96 just for the pads, any recommendations for dealers doing deals for OEM parts?

If you are 100% going dealer OE then I'm pretty sure that sounds like a good all in price.

I'm sure I paid close to that just for my front pads at the dealer when they needed doing.

I had mine done end of last year by local trusted garage in Hampshire, I did research and Borg and Beck seemed like good make, and the outside is coated, so they haven’t rusted like the OEM did.

Brakes feel great, glad I didn’t pay the £1000 the stealer wanted.

Prices have crept up a bit since then, but this is what I paid:

Front disc and pads

Discs £104.46
Pads £45.24
Labour £94.80
Sub Total £244.88
Vat £48.90
TOTAL £293.40

Rear discs and pads

Discs £88.30
Pads £33.48
Labour £126.40
Sub Total £248.18
Vat £49.63
TOTAL £297.81
