anyone have a sun strip that the wipers pass over?

from what i have read the wiper cannot pass over the sunstrip by more than an inch. what solutions are out there? at the moment i'm thinking of cutting down a few old wiper arms and fitting smaller blades just for the mot

When I looked into this I found some MOT regs that stated it should no infringe more than 10mm into the swept area.

Mine is well over this limit but the garage I use didn't even mention it.

Yup it sure was. If you do want to do that you can book it in for a morning slot, drop it off, I'll come pick you up, go off and do something then go back and pick it up when it's done.

Coolio. Well nearer the time we can sort it out and I'll book a day off work. If it does fail we can then whip it back to mine, sort it and run back up.
