Make that comparison and what you're talking about here is the equivilent of buying your other half some council gold from H. Samuels or similar - she won't thank you for it and it'll make her look like a cheap tart.

The headlight loom upgrade on the other hand is like unexpectedly buying t'other half a dishwasher when she didn't have one before - you'll both benefit from it and get more quality time together as a result.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Remember, kids - if something's hard, then it's probably not worth doing.

I have those exact bulbs - they do give off a brighter light and make night driving easier! I also have had the H7s in my other car they also give an improvement.

BUT you musy get an uprated loom the difference is amazing!

I thought that the loom was going to be to much work too but a couple of weeks ago i was on my way back from taking my theory in hasting (got 48 out 50  by the way OOOO YES!!) and it was dark and i could not see any thing i was driving from the lights of the people behind!! and i nearly drove off the road 4 times cos i could not see!!! So becuase off this extremly scary experiance it made me buy new head light looms as i could not drive like that!!! And can i just say WOOOOOOOOOWW it has been THE best thing i have done!!! It is not hard to fit if you get ones that come with instructions of ebay. It took about 2 hours to fit (I took my time to make sure it was all right) but it was well worth it!!!! Plus with Xeon bulbs it makes it even better!!!

et some "all weather" 100W bulbs

Please don't.  They're not legal and bloody inconsiderate to other road users.

Instead of dicking about with all of these pony modifications why not save money and set up a relay controlled lighting loom.  This will give you much better light output from standard bulbs.

I have the uprated loom too

still not as dazzling as HID units.

I don't think a semi will give the same results
