"H4 Xenon Ice Blue Headlamp Bulbs"
« on: 30 January 2008, 12:08 »
Hey guys, thinking of getting some of these H4 bulbs for my lights (think cars with slightly blue tinged lights stand out).

My dad said that it is hard to get the lights adjusted properly after fitting new bulbs, is this true? I think he may have been making it sound harder to stop me wasting my money on useless stuff

Cheers for any advice and such

Your dad speaks with forked tongue, the bulbs do not affect the positioning of the light!

the bulbs are all located, i.e. they only go in one way.

Oh and it's the light unit that moves to affect the beam direction. Not the bulb.

blue bulbs will make your already crap mk2 lights emit even less useful light. The human eye responds better to yellow light than blue light (think street lamps vs. blue lamps in public toilets/late night buses)

get some "all weather" 100W bulbs, they emit yellow light with a hint of purple!

I don't think a semi will give the same results

Sweet cheers guys, i know they won't be as good as yellow ones but think they look cool even in the day

Eventually (maybe next week depending on the pay situ.) im going to get crystal head lights which will help with the light output (I think!)

i've got these in my car, with crystal ones, and the performance has only got better if you ask me, much better especially with my crystal head lights.

next thing on the list is uprated wire loom. roll on summer! cant wait to lose my placement job so i can spend weekdays working on the car!

et some "all weather" 100W bulbs

Please don't.  They're not legal and bloody inconsiderate to other road users.

Instead of dicking about with all of these pony modifications why not save money and set up a relay controlled lighting loom.  This will give you much better light output from standard bulbs.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

its not called dicking about...its called wasting money on our mk2 lovers.

its what other men do for their g/f's or wives...or in some cases, both.
