21 mk3 moddified new driver insurance driving me mad

all this talk about insurance!

I work for a major financial co (who also do insurance!) and I have being checking quotes and with my current car (passat 1.6se) it will be £364 this year but on a 1.8turbo passat sport it will be £362 (b.t.w neither was with mod's as my work don't cover them!) Crazy!!!

where are the prices coming from? 

So a turbo is cheaper to insure, that is crazy.

tbh i found that it is cheaper to have fully comp too haha work that out :S

and all i did was used compaire websites could not be bothard in the end to call every one up when i found that price i was happy enough i probably could have called up and haggled but hey at that prince for all my mods and that its cool just need a place that will insure my sound system any ideas?

omg who your insurance with??? im 22 been driving for 4 years and 2 no claims n my insurance is like 1800 :| 

LOL I paid £800 at 18 with a MK3 GTi.
£700 for my MK4 TDI all mods declared - at 20
£960 for my 350Z - at 21

No points, no crashes, 3 years no claims.

Have you got long left on your policy, because it looks like insurance costs have rocketed the last few months, I paid £172 last year cheapest so far is £326 which seems a lot for a 35yr old full ncb and driving a simple car.
