Anyway, it's back now.  I asked for a VW Connect plug as well, which they gave me FOC, so I have that to play with.  I had intended to go for a drive this morning to try it out, but as soon as I left home the rain started, so I just did a 20-mile loop around part of the New Forest (blanket 40mph speed limit to protect the dozy wildlife and even dozier cyclists), so although I can confirm that it works, I want to try it on some proper roads.FML.

Interested to hear your thoughts on the VW Connect Plug and App once you have tried it. Possibly worthy of a new thread.

The car looks superb. Well done for getting the pic up :afro:
Assuming it’s all your drive there looks to be a bit of a VW theme going on there!

Sat in the dealers for 1.5 hours to be told that my radio needs a software update that's not been released yet.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I actually like the idea behind them, but as they are additional to the standard knobs, the fact they make them bigger might be what people don't like about them. I would like them if they were not quite so massive - although if I wasn't used to the size of my knobs heater controls I might like them.
