Hello everybody!
We have a track mk2 golf with a 2.0l 16v abf engine.
We're trying to replace a cracked exhaust manifold (we're not going to weld it... again) and a cut downpipe (which incorporated a silencer - which is beyond repair) that was mated to a standard midsection then the rest of the exhaust.
We want to replace the mid section for a stainless pipe and the manifold and downpipe we are open to ideas.
Any ideas and where would we get the bits from?
Thank you for your assistance in maintaining our ability to kick arse at Brands Hatch Indy!

what did you weld it with the first time?

We had a friend weld the absolute hell out of it. Pretty it wasn't but it held for quite a while.
Now we just want simple. We've looked around to try to find someone selling stuff off the shelf but the only exhausts we've found are so expensive (000's)

Im pretty sure a mk2 golf gti 1.8 16v mani fits. Might widen your search.

them manifolds need to ne warmed up and welded with dissimilar rods. if it was migged, then you have 2 different metals expanding at different rates so will just crack again.
