I use Bilt Hamber Auto Wash (also available from Elite Car Care) and its awesome. One capful per bucketful, so it works out very cheap, and its very sudsy and slippery. Supposed to be anti-rust too, e.g. on stone chips.

You won't be dissapointed. It doesn't smell nice, but your car won't mind!   Annoyingly though, the elite car care version comes in a plastic bottle, despite the aluminium photo being displayed. No big deal, but I bought it for a prezzy once and it looks a bit naff compared.
