Thanks for the compliments guys, its much appreciated, in all honesty though, I never expect to win anything, because, I always think that someone else's is better... I dont know why, maybe I'm to critical of my own car, my own work. When I painted the car 6 years ago, it was just to tidy it up and use as a daily hack to and from work, my Mk2, is by no means the "best" that I can do. Bearing in mind that I bought it over 8 years ago, even Mk2 golfs, in my eyes were nothing special.... only the passing of time, and seeing the way Mk1s have gone over the last few years has changed my opinion of what I now think of Golfs
Judging at events like Westside, is bound to be very subjective, due to the nature of the show, (I would stand a better chance in the Concours section at GTI inters) it bothers me not in the slightest, though I have wondered many times before, whether it would be a different story, if my car was Oak green instead of Jade
My next project, should it get off the ground, may be a different kettle of fish though
