dipstick tube replacement!
« on: 03 January 2010, 17:27 »
Hi i went to check my oil today on my golf 1.8t and my dipstick tube snapped is it just a simple pull out push in fix or is it a bit more complicated.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

it's a push fit but my old one was tight on the bottom gave it a whack with a hammer and screw driver and shatterd it, to put the new one in you need to undo the 2 allan bolts on then n249/n112 solonid block as the dipstick is clipped on there too.

Been so careful working around mine today as we don't have a GSF over here!
