Bluefin arrived and installed today. B****r me! Car is very quick and responsive now so very pleased. Without a shadow of a doubt, that will keep me happy with the car for another couple of years at which point I'll change it then.
The only problem now, of course, is that even a PP Mk7 won't be as quick so it'll have to be an R next time. (or a 135)

After 13 months of trouble free ownership its being traded in this Saturday - Having the GTI for the school run is simply madness and I've been putting in far too much fuel.  Love the Golf and will def get another when the times right.

For now I'm going sensible for a couple of years and pick up my brand new Nissan Qashqai 1.2dig-t Accenta Premuim in few days.  Insurance cheap too @ £160 annual. The engine is surprisingly nippy and comes with dab, touch screen stereo, climate dual control, rear camera, collision avoidance etc .

Not me but my partner has just added this to his company's vehicle fleet.  Might have to find a reason to borrow it

I reckon you must be a red neck at heart.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Shhh, don't tell everyone

It won't be parked on my driveway and it can take its chances in the car wash.  Bought as a workhorse, not for its looks or (lack of) comfort.
