Mk1 Golf Cabbie '89 4 or 5 speed gear box??
« on: 15 October 2012, 22:44 »
Recently bought a cracking 1989 Mk1 cabbie as a  project.however there's some confusion amongst friends about the history of the gear box. Gear stick knob says 5 speed, however the car itself only has a 4 speed fitted. So the question being, was the original gear box 4 or 5 speed?
Any input would be superb, Cheers!

Are you planning on fitting a 5 speed then ? if so let me know I may have one coming up soon and also north east based.
I also have a 79 Escort it only has a couple of sticky pages!!
