Yo need Carista, the dongle is about £20-30 and you get a month free with the app. You might need to register for the beta version with 10 x as many options... and you then turn 'pace car indicators' off.
There's useful things you can do, such as setting headlight wash to not happen unless you pull the stalk for 2 seconds, a bleep when you lock the car, tail lights on when the boot is open, and a range of other things.
I turned pace car indicators on briefly on my Mk7 (which doesn't have the sweeping indicators) but then turned them off again,
