While I was buyingstuff for the new flat at the weekend I noticed this for £2 so I grabbed one:

but I wondered if it's be much better than a sponge and if I should sheel out a few quid more to get a decent one - it just doesn't look as nice and soft and fluffy as what I'm used to seeing:

So what do you reckon, bit of a bargain or should I steer clear?!

What's it made of? I use a cheap one on my car but the Mrs only uses the lambs one on hers.

bahhh ftw.

100% polyester, so you reckon it's for the bin and stop being such a tight arse?! H aha
I thought that might be the case, but for £2 I thought I'd take the chance!!

ewe got it

Yeah it will do the job but probably not for long. I bought a halfords own brand mitt last year as it was cheaper, it was alright for a while but then started shedding little fibres all over the car during washing. I treated myself to a meguiars mitt at the start of this year and it's miles better, the mrs now uses the halfords one  although I'm gonna get her a meguiars one next month for her birthday.

I use a cheaper one for the alloys. Im now onto my second Meguires lambswool mit as the first seems to be suffering with allapecia!!!! Anyone else had this issue? I've always soaked it after use then rang out and left to dry naturally so Im kinda dissapointed as there not cheap!!

this one seems to be doing the job very well after going through a couple of others quite quickly

i've got a Sonus mitt but doesn't seem to be holding up very well :undecided:
might try that Eurow one

I bought this turtlewax one from halfords and its lasted VERY well, to the point where the wrist strap is wearing out before the actual fibres. I don't think its quite as swirl safe as a lambswool mitt though as grit can get trapped deep inside it.

I have a Eurow mitt too, no where near as soft as the Meguires which has actually stopped me using it on my car (did on the wifes though )
