First Detail After Winter?
« on: 11 February 2011, 12:03 »
Before winter a gave my car a full detail, clayed, SRP, jetsealed, colly and just washed every few weeks after with btbm and a citrus bling if needed.

Now the finish is still beading nicely, so would i be ok just to wash and add another layer of colly or maybe some natty's red if i get some of that?..........

Or would i be better removing whats on their now and starting again, maybe with diluted tfr or just another claying over? or should i leave it until later in the year when its better weather??  :undecided:

whats your thoughts?

MY

No need to remove whats on there if your paint is still holding up - all you'll do is increase the risk of marring the paint

Also be careful using the TFR it may strip some of hte exiting protection.

I'd give it a good wash and see how the paint looks in terms of contaminants and paintwork finish.  If you're happ then top up the exisitng protection and save the detailing until the weather improves.

PS I'd be tempted to jack up the car and take a good look at the underside and in the arches to see what remains from all the bad weather we've had!
