Hi all, recently purchased a mk2 gti 8v. I already have a Corrado g60 and will probably convert the Golf into a g60 as a long term project. I look forward to scouring the forum for info, and inputting where I can 👍🏻. The Golf has zero history if anyone knows anything about this particular one please feel free to let me know 😬

Welcome aboard, and a very nice mk2 as well. I would love to give you some info about it but i only got into my Golf's about 10 years ago so i'm not your man lol. Hopefully one of the other members recognises it and can shed some light.

A chequered previous car history (mainly blue oval, sorry) prior to owning Golf's.
2001 mk4 TDI - died at some traffic lights due to someone not stopping!
2000 mk4 GTD - a dog of a car, sold to WBAC in limp mode!
2000 mk4 1.8T - most fun i've had in a Golf (until now) but nearly cost me my licence!
2020 mk7.5 Tornado Red TCR - current ride.

Welcome
Full marks to you for keeping these great examples alive and well.
Putting a G60 motor in the Golf sounds a great idea
