How can one wall have 3 measurements???

Does it look like this:

                   0.5
                  ----
                 /.    |
                / .    |
               /  .    |
              /   .    |
      4.0   /    .    | 3.5
            /     .    |
           /      .    |
          /       .    |
         /        .    |
         ----------
             2.0

Just draw a vertical line down from the red dots to make a triangle and a square.  Work out the area of both.  Add them together.  Then you have the correct area of the garage.

Well in that case:

A garage measuring 6 x 4 m = 24 sqm

try writing the question in a formal manner as it is written on the practice paper, with any accompanying diagrams

length of the wall given as 8.6m multiplied by the height of the wall given as 3.5m comes to 30.1m2

good luck with the exam....sounds like you'll need it
