i made my own,

hardest thing is fitting the rear window, if you cut it to the same size as the hole it's easy to fit but it may wobbel, so cut it to the same size as the glass out of the rear windown,  thins makes fitting it somewhat more intresting as you have to force the curve into it whiles fitting but once fitted it stays and won't wobbel

Cheers, plan is to use the origanal glass as templates, all depends if i can get the stuff from work.
MK4 GTI T AGU, REVO Remap, BMC carbon box, Miltek cat back, Forge diverter valve, THS FR3 engine/Gbox mounts, Some random alloys, lowered on coilovers.
192bhp 212lbft torque.

whereabouts did you get your polycarbonate from as I plan to replace my windows when the car is getting resprayed.......

What thickness do people use?

I am looking for a cheap place though as the missus is starting to ask questions as to how much this car is going to cost me.......

 there normally 4 mil thick ! poly is better as it doesnt shatter and is stronget than perspex ! you can get a full set for most cars for about £200
