Post by: gazman1011 on 30 June 2013, 22:58
Hi all, been out of the game for a while as I bought a mk5 GTTDI and did nothing with it, I miss not been able to play with it, I wanted another mk2 but instead I went for a mk4 1.8t GTI.......
Got it for a steel, full history, literally service every year no expense spared new brake lines all round new disks and pads all round, belts and pumps changed on time by VW. i was scrolling thought and found a little surprise......REMAP! He'll yea JKM Portsmouth stage one remap with forge DV valve, take it to a cheeky 197BHP,
my plans......( no particular order)
Full miltek resonated exhaust
Coilovers
New wheels
Drilled and groves disks and better pads
Sort out engine bay...new hoses, intercooler, induction kit, etc etc...
Upgrade speakers
Fit GTI rear spoiler
Tint windows slightly
Get stone chips looked at
Bora sports clocks and boost gauge
Arm rest
Fit let interior bulbs
Fit genuine HIds
Get locks looked at
Get rid of wood effect trim

Here are a few pics please let me know what you guys think

Looks good!
Need to add a k03s to the list of mods
Unlikely it is 200bhp on standard turbo thought
But Fsh is good!

Have fun!

197bhp is achievable on a KO3, and JKM's dyno is pretty accurate.

Looks a good base and sounds like you've got some good plans :afro:

I know 200bhp is achievable but I though that was the max flow and stage 1 figures were more like 180bhp??

Well few changers here and there, I have fitted my mk5 rear wiper, also someone robbed my vw badge but got a new one back on now. I have fitted my new gear stick, got rid of the wood one lol, also I was told my DV valve was the wrong way around so changed that, also I not removed all my engine covers to find the dip stick tube snapped, so off to gsf tomoz for a new one.
