Yea, not very happy, it was raining and I couldn't really see under the car but thought the base of the jack was far enough under the car but it slipped out.
At least a full scissor jack is more stable but the one that comes in the golf is so dodgy.

Don't think anyone could remove the dent as there is no way in to the back of it, the plastic strip is about £80 so not to bad and at least the tyre was repairable, it was only a few thousand miles old.

Looks nasty

What about paintless dent removal, glue pulling technique used on areas they can't get to the back/underside of?

VW dealer may be able to pull the dent out and replace side skirt, if not its a new sill section

National Tyres jacked my scirocco up incorrectly and did a similar thing, quoted £400 to pull out but ended up needing a new section and a bill of £1,000 went their way

Got a flat tyre and when changing to the space saver at the side of the road the jack slipped and put a dent in the sill

A spot of waxing

That looks ace  - lovely shiny wet look finish. You can't beat a freshly polished and waxed black car.

Looks like you are spending too much time on the car. The hedge is looking a bit neglected.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Did you have a good holiday.

Hedges should ideally be cut outside of bird nesting season (March to August).  I'm surprised you didn't know that.
