Title: New mk 7 owner - hello!

Picking up Friday carbon grey, leather, dcc, dsg, 5 door on 19s but want to put her on standard 18s as prefer the look and am worried about popping tyres round my rural roads.
2nd gti as once owned mk2 big bumper oettinger converted beauty bored out to 2 litre.
Also own lci m135i and ancient Porsche Turbo

Just picked up an hour ago, and here she is - much better handling in sport mode than my M135I, not as much shove obviously but am very pleased with the fit and finish too - what a car!

realy nice colour i had to settle for black as i couldnt find a new one with dcc in carbon grey
i went for the 19" but wish i hadnt now  :sad:

How so?  I think the 19" wheels really make the car, and even on Yorkshire roads I don't think the ride is bad.

Nowt wrong with Yorkshire roads!  :grin: :whistle:

I also got 19" wheels and didn't want them (purely due to the impracticality and hard ride on them).... I'm getting used to them a little bit as they do look the dogs danglies, but yeah, scared to death of those pot holes!

jim yes they do look good on the car ,its just round here you play a game of dodging the deep pothole  :laugh: :laugh: the roads are getting worse even the motorways are bad new  :sad:

Totally agree, there's some massive buggers out there that I wouldn't even go over in a wagon!... bloody highways agency lol  :laugh:

She's gorgeous, you must be well proud. I love it! ... and now to keep it clean... lol
