Rainsport 3

Never used Rainsport but they always seem popular on the forum. I used to run Toyo T1R and for the price they were excellent.

Is everyone using the same tyre pressures on replacement tyres? The factory fit Bridgestones have quite a hard sidewall and were a hard tyre in general but the Michelin PS4 have a softer sidewall and I think in general are a softer tyre so would it be better to sightly increase the pressure on the Michelin? Example from 36 to 37psi.

PS4 on 10% off with blackcircles today (FLASH10) so come in at £150 fitted.  I switched 2 rears to GY ASYM3 (£110 each via Costco offer) about 5 months ago but can't get them under £130 now.  £20 seems a fair premium for the PS4 which come through very strongly in professional terms.  Getting fitted tomorrow.

For 19" (Santiagos) at 225 35 19.

Will undoubtedly be cheaper for 18".

Weirdly, the goodyear AS3 235/35 R 19 are cheaper (just). I'm on aftermarket wheels (8.5j) so the 235s fit them better.

Interesting review of difference between 17/18/19s tyres on the GTI. Handing/noise/comfort. All with same tyre, GY A3.

Verdict is the car is best on the 18s
