Hi all, apologies if this has been asked recently.
I had a pre-mot which shows that I need rear shocks and springs. My car has adaptive chassis meaning electric rear shocks.
My questions are: does anyone have a set of electric rear shocks for sale or does anyone know where to go for them? What springs shall I get to replace?
Shocks: 1K0 513 045 F, 1K0 513 046 F
Springs: 1K0 511 115 EC
TIA

My son used to have a Scirocco. That needed new adaptive dampers, but the cost was prohibitive. We replaced all four corners with an aftermarket damper and spring kit along with plug in cancelling modules that wouldn't confuse the car into throwing up a multitude of warning lights.
Koni Special Actives are very good and give most of the benefits of OEM adaptive dampers. They are designed to work with stock springs, or at most, -30mm lowering ones.

Thanks for your response.
Another noob question, as I need to buy springs for the rear, I may as well get some decent aftermarkets right and drop it a little? Will 30mm springs work with the electric absorbers?

Called VW parts and they're quoting £353 per side.
Does anyone know if I can get them sent for refurb instead??

That's why we swapped out the lot in the Scirocco for aftermarket.

Just seems a shame to take it away, with the car only being on 57k :(

A pair of dcc shocks for £270 with 2 year warranty on ebay seems reasonable. Only get 2 year warranty with oem. Worth checking origin with seller.
