I wanted reliable power. Key word being reliable. The old turbo had a bit of play in the shaft, it was not an option in my mind to keep the old unit on there with an indetermate life. There is more power to be had. It is certainly more responsive and I enjoy it more knowing I have the piece of mind it's not going to go pop any time soon
