Hands free interference
« on: 16 February 2004, 21:59 »
i have a nok 6310 and cark 91 fully fitted handsfree kit in my 1.8t 2000.

When you make a call, interference can be heard through the cars speakers

I have spoke with an engineers who stated that this is a common problem

Has anyone heard of this before ?

Are you using car radio mute through the standard fit head unit?

I would guess that its going stem from the Gamma headunit, not from the Nokia car kit itself. I have installed plenty of Nokia car kits, and have found them to be very good. All of these installed have been twinned with aftermarket headunits.

I currently have a Nokia bluetooth car kit for my 8910i running with my Pioneer screen in my Mk4, and its faultless. My guess is that its a poor quality car radio mute within the gamma unit, especially if you have been told this is a common problem by engineers.
