Bin your aircon pump and all associated stuff. That will remove a fair few k's to start with from the front end

well for one we live in britain, it rains, or is cold - a LOT

you have ripped the dash, and all assocaited pipework for your DE-MISTERS and blowers out.

weight saving is one thing, practicality, especially as you have stated you might want to drive it to and from the track come first however.

furthermore, dont forget to inform your insurance company of your " deviation " from standard car  :smiley:

Depending on how serious you are, perhaps it's a good idea to start a thread in the track section.

Those boys will sort out your brakes, suspension & cage for how serious you are then start one in the MK3 board for supercharging.

But I feel your budget will take a BIG hit after the suspension, a PROPERLY installed cage and brakes.

But IMO they are far more important then engine BHP and thats purely the reason, IMO that the 16V is a far better choice for track as it's lighter already.

& as Chuff said, how are you going to see when it mists up? :huh:

I'm sure DH will offer some very to the point & sarcastic advice but I would actually listen.

i have riped out the dash but i did leave in the central air blower and dials/switches ! 

i have trade insurance so i am legal to drive any vehicle with any mods (im a car trader) by trade
