VW Golf, Bora & Jetta Mk4 (1J) (1997-2003) official workshop manuals

Here are some free official VW workshop manuals and technical information for the Volkswagen Golf, Bora and Jetta Mk4 (type 1J) - 1997-2003, to download (right clicky > save target as - please note: this does not work with FireFox, and I'm unsure about Opera). I will update as and when more become available.  For any which are listed at the "download-zone", you will need to be either fluent in Russian, or use these handy translation tips - wait for the traffic light to go green (you'll see a timer), count the number of items in the box, click on the number that relates to the number of items (as posted by The_Ridge).

Standard disclaimer: neither I, nor the Owners, Administrators and Moderators of GolfGTI.co.uk Forum, will be held liable for any bits left on your garage floor, as a result of downloading and reading these manuals, and the subsequent tinkering with said Golfs & Jettas! Please be aware some information may not be applicable to your particular model, and some may be only relevent to different countries. Proceed only at your own risk.

Thanks TT!

I couldn't get the link to work but this page

http://volkswagen.msk.ru/index.php?p=page01 has enough English on that you can find the files.

OK, if you have a shufty in my similar stickies for the Mk3 (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=54388.0), or the Mk5 (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=54324.0) - it might give you some clues why you cant get them to work.  (Hint: animals with bushy tails, or hideous singing are known to be problematic  :wink:)

top and bottom one fine.

for those that don't read Russian that well;

wait for the traffic light to go green (you'll see a timer)
count the number of items in the box
click on the number that relates to the number of items
