« on: 31 January 2020, 10:57 »
Hi, I have a MK6 GTI and the N/S/R shock is broken, i was supplied a non DCC shock and i'm skint; my question is it possible to fit this and run 1 DCC and the other standard until i can afford a new DCC shock and if so would it pull anything up on the dash?

How long till you can afford a DCC shock? If they are connected to the on board computer then I should imagine you'd get a light up but I'm just assuming. Depending on how long you expect to run like this you could expect the tyre to wear different to the other. Maybe get a bit weird if pushed hard in corners. However if it's for a week or too on a short commute you could be fine as an emergency measure. You see people with space savers on one corner for months so give it a try. If your DIY'ing it that is. It's always advisable to change shocks in pairs aswell so you will probably feel it's off straight away, but as an emergency A-B it may do. But deffo replace as a pair.
