Test drive and review of MK8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_LIgHxrmOg. Maybe it is not all bad after all!

I dont care how well it is built (as others have said) that cabin doesn't look like somewhere I want to sit for 18k miles a year. Unfortunately all VAG and prem brands seem to be going the same way. Help.... An XC40 is looking more appealing with every new hatch thats unveiled. I just haven't got my head round the poor fuel economy (yet).

I feel utterly underwhelmed about the Mk8 after watching that

Let's hope the GTI/GTD/R are much more exciting. Hating the buttonless interior. I've said it before – touchscreen everything is downright dangerous whilst trying to concentrate on driving.

Interesting video posted over on golfmk7.com. A few simple cosmetic changes can make a big difference, and make the mk8 GTI look so much better IMO.

ETTO.

I wouldn't call that an improvement. And to cap it off, those wheels on a GTi are just a no!

Only my opinion

I completely agree, his design looks more wonky than the Autocar mockups

The wheels look ok but I’d not want to have to clean them!
The front end is still a fail.

Shame there’s unlikely to be a Worthersee Treffen this year as VW might have had a design study hinting at where the Ed45 might be heading.

If anyone is interested and wants to know more about the new Audi A3, Chris Martin from Coldplay has done a video review here;-

It's only the 1.5 TSi but still it does look pretty smart in S Line trim.
