Wheel Refurb or Buy New???
« on: 26 October 2018, 14:25 »
Hi all,

Looking for some advice. The questions has probably been asked a few dozen times though. Have a 09 MK6 Golf GTI which has been dropped and I’m still running the 18” Monza Shadows. Thing is they’ve been curbed and have some corrosion on them. What I’d like to know is has any one refurbed their wheels, is it worth it or should I just get a new set?

And if I get a new set what to do with the Monza’s. Also what wheels are people running at present? I have a 5 door in Candy White lowered by 20mm. Any advice and pics of what you've done would be helpful.

Thanks in advance

You could get them refurbished and painted and hopefully the corrosion would not return .Or get a new set and sell the old ones on e bay …..

I had one of my wifes  wheelsl refurbed paid by the dealer when we bought the car but the corrosion returned 9 months later so I got a new wheel at a good discount.

It's better to buy a new one.
