Air filter, dtuk

I have fitted a dtukbox and was wondering if there is any benefit to fitting a different filter from stock on my GTD?

I can't see there being much of a gain from an induction kit aside from it being noisy, and again there won't be a huge gain (if any) with a fancy filter; but the one thing I would recommend is making sure the filter is changed a lot more frequently than the manufacturers service schedule so that it's free of dust and debris which is the one thing that will affect airflow. I doubt they even open up the airbox until the 40k service and Diesels suck a lot of air which in turn means potentially a lot of dust!

I put a Pipercross panel filter in my gtd and also in the Tiguan 184 and now have one in my gti. Much better filter than standard one.
GTD in Pure White, Nav Pro, Winter Pack, Park Assist, Rear View Camera, Adaptive Chassis Control, 5yr warranty. Free RTI & Service Pack :) Picked up 24th September 13 - gone. Tiguan - gone and now have a Gti PP, Tungsten, Tech & Parking packs, HBA
