Ultimate Dubs 2014
« on: 13 March 2014, 07:46 »
Thought I’d share a couple of my own personal favorites from the show. I’m open to feedback and criticism from better photographers so feel free to fire comments at me!

Nice pics - I always found taking photos there a nightmare with the odd lighting.

Mk7 looks

I've run all my shots through an image editing software suite just to get the colours a bit better. You're right, the lighting plays havoc with my camera.

3RD picture down trick of the eye but looks like the gun leaning on the front of the black/grey golf is holding up the bonnet on the white polo one in the background

The reason the colours are off is that it's indoors with rubbish lighting.
The best way to get the colours right, is to set the "white balance" on the camera before you start taking any photos.

If you don't know about white balance, here's a guide:

There's even a guide to white balance on this site, thanks to Horney:
Horney's Guide to White Balance

Yes, you can correct it afterwards in software, but in these situations, it's better to shoot with the correct white balance from the start so that all your shots look the same.

Noted, many thanks for that! I'll certainly break the manual for my camera out and have a play next indoor show I attend.

That was so my intention to capture it like that... Totally not luck.
