I treated mine with about 15 litres of waxoyl undeneath to keep mine from rusting when new as I could see what was going to happen. With the lack of treatment.
You can buy plastic covers for the back arms from audi. Ive got the ones to the side of the arms and the bluemotion one behind the tank to keep the dirt away.
I will paint my discs at some point as they havent rusted completely yet.

Sounds interesting, will look into those covers,Which model Audi?
cannot remember off hand I got the info from that other mk5 forum. On a thread about aerodynamic and oem parts a few years back.
Current Stable: Mk6 GTI, Mk1 GTI, Mk1 Leon & 3 non VW.

Fitted my milltek cat back today, got to say for the 3" race system it's not as loud as I thought it would be maybe when it becomes a turbo back with induction kit and remap it will get a better tone when foot down

It wasn't until I fitted the 3" downpipe to my Blueflame system that I got the burble sound I wanted, the cat back only sounded nearly the same as stock.

You get a nice burble and then over 4k starts to open up ;)

Had them for 4 winters now so plenty run it but I do remember them being borderline dangerous for the first few hundred miles when new!
