When I get some more cash to throw at the car (prob not for a while, but wanted them protected for the winter) looking at getting a set of black Talladega's or a set of the VWR racing alloys that are graphite in colour so the black will go well then :)

So finished the back wheels today and started on the front. Think black in behind is a good colour tbh.

Looking good.  I need to do mine and my calipers.

Thanks, luckily my calipers were in really good condition as I didn't fancy painting them.. only thing that annoyed me was the fact I used enamel paint and it takes 16 hours to cure and not having my own garage has meant doing it in one go so lost the car for the weekend :(

I like Vancouvers  The centre caps need lining up tho'. When the valve is at 6 o clock, the VW should be the right way round.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Decided to give my rear control arms 2 coats of Hammerite Smooth Black. They really needed it - too much rust for a 4 years old car

I think satin would have looked better but only had smooth - or well better than rust

Wired brushed, cleaned with alcohol and cloth, dried then sprayed.

Booked it in to be put back to standard on 2 January 2013 to remove AP brakes, Bilstein B16s, Eibach ARBs and gloss diffuser so won't really be my car anymore

Going to miss it it but will always remember our dirty weekend in Germany
