Dom's Mk4 Story So Far - it's all over!
« on: 09 July 2011, 22:37 »
Ok, so I collected my new car yesterday; a 52 plate 1.8T with only 50k miles on the clock and a huge folder of history including invoices totalling almost £3.5k

Most importantly it had a waterpump/cambelt kit change recently using genuine VW parts

I've only got a couple of crappy camera phone pics at the moment and the pics from the advert:

***Pictures removed from Autotrader advert***

Numerous plans for it flying around in my head at the moment, it won't stay standard for long but it will definitely stay OEM+

Looks awesome mate!

What do you think to it anyway? I found the mk4 to be much comfier than the mk3 but the handling nowhere near as sharp.

But yeah, looks real clean!

Much more comfortable but like you say it's a bit vague when it comes to corners, a decent spring/shock setup & upgraded arbs should sort that though

I'm liking the boost, but it doesn't feel that much quicker than the mk3. That might have something to do with the mk3 being pretty loud & low though, makes it feel faster

Looks great Dom :afro:

Cheers Wayne, it certainly feels like it's only done 50k

Cheers :afro:

I wasn't too fussed tbh, 3 door would have been my preferred choice but I wasn't going to let it be the deciding factor in buying it
