3mm would do the job, but 5mm can take much more of battering.

It's a track car.
It should be about the weight, not the battering.
Danny probably has the same stuff to hand, so can take a better view on this - I'd go with him - 3mm.

i work with the stuff everyday and 5mm is much harder to break than 3mm. but i dont think you break it when its used as a door card. if it all about weight - 3mm ftw

A chap on Retro rides has found a couple of photos that inlcude good shots of the 88 year door number decals. Result!
This should help LL knock them up for me when the time comes.

Today has not been a good day.
Fitted the plastic trim between the bumper and lower valance which went fine. Decided to remove the mats in the car so I can start stripping the underseal and painting up the floor to make it look tidier. I really wish I hadn't. The mats were screwed down, I thought to stop them moving, but no. Under the passenger one I have found what can best be described as a f@&king great hole that's been hacked into the sloping part of the bulk head. It looks like it's been cut open to weld in a new captive nut for what I think is the rearmost subframe bolt on the passenger side. It's a f@&king mess and I'm a bit peed off to put it mildly. So peed off I put the mat back in gave up doing anything else on the car this weekend.
