R-Tech Van review at 10000k
« on: 11 February 2009, 09:33 »
The good old R-Tech van clocked 100000 miles last night (on a pivate runway..lol :smug:)  60k of of very hard slaved driving by me all over the UK and 40k as an aerial van plodding around the Midlands, the engine was remapped from 66wbhp to 100whp, it pulls to 5000rpm top speed of 120mph.  No black smoke and since we have owned in from brand new in 2003 we have NEVER ( touch wood) had one issue with the engine.  Sad news is that it has got to go soon to make way in September for our mk7 2.2 tdci transit which is a aerial fitting van at the moment. but I want to keep the red one its more fun and shocks people at the traffic lights and toll booth and keeps a constant smile on my face all day long..  I have convinced (I hope) my buisness partner to uprade the aerial van to a VW.. T5 2.5TDI 174bhp.

My old 1996 Pug Boxer only did 74mph flat out down hill on the M20, bag of crap it was. The best Van i had was a sprinter which did 126mph and a lad working for me at the time got flashed on the M1 11pm on night doing 121bhp past a road works speed camrea. Instant Ban.
