Golf mk7 / Re: What have you done to your MK 7 today ?

What a great car for a 23 year old. If I remember right I payed £600 to insure a 205 gti in 1996 ( i was 23 then). I can remember spending hours shopping for insurance. £82 per month sounds pretty good to me.

My first 'quick' car was a Cavalier SRi 130 in 1989 when I was 19. I'm pretty sure that the insurance was about £300 for me and my Dad as a named driver. Those days you went to your trusted broker who got out his big book of rates from a handful of companies to look up the premium.

Fitted a weighted Black forest industries shift knob. Happy with the results :)

What spec did you go for in the end?

Golf mk7 / Lumbar Support Standard or Option?
« Last post by Popinman on 24 February 2020, 11:54 »
Hi guys.  I'm getting closer to pulling the trigger on hopefully a GTi mk7.5 but could also be a mk7, and have (maybe) a stupid question....

Is lumbar support on the standard (check) seats a standard feature or an optional extra?  If optional, is it part of a pack or a stand alone option?

Thanks in advance!
