In that example, I'd go for TR. The KR looks a bit dull but still far better than the multitude of greys that seem the norm these days.

I think that Kings has a bit more depth to it but the tornado will be a lot easier to look after I bet.

I think KR is the pick of the colours of the Mk8 GTI.... but have to say in that photo it looks nothing like the high gloss press images of it...

On that photo, I'd pick TR.

KR looks like BMW Melbourne red.... which is horrible.

Maybe the photo is more representative of what it’ll look like in typical British weather then.

Lighting conditions are a big factor in what a paint colour looks like. This is particularly so with a metallic colour like Kings Red, and pearlescent colours which look their best in bright, sunny conditions or in a dealer showroom under bright artificial light when the metal or mica particles in the paint will ‘pop’ and sparkle.

My Carbon Grey mk6 GTD never looked at its best in dull, overcast conditions. On a bright sunny day when the car was clean, it looked great IMO.

Strangely, I prefer my Lapiz is duller lights. Probably a good thing to be honest with where I live.

Yeah metallic colours can look vastly different depending on lighting conditions. My Tungsten Silver varies between looking silver, light grey and sometimes it can look beige  :undecided:

That Kings Red will look fantastic in bright sunlight.

I've been a bit disappointed with Oryx, even in bright sunlight it doesn't particularly sparkle. Buying new, pure white would be the better choice, Oryx is definitely not worth £1k
