Something dodgy. Plus the seller bought a pair of front bumper grilles and mirrors for it back last year

Why is everyone getting so worked up by the crossflow 1.6 MK4?

Customer has one, infact I think I'm servicing it tomorrow, I will get a photo if so.

They're fairly nippy, even the 1.6's.

Easiest check anyway is the engine code on the cambelt cover or stamps on the head or wherever VW put them.

Where all my moneys went.

Golf MK3 1.6. Golf MK3 8v GTI.

Not bashing crossflowed engines in general just the 2.0 isn't my choice of engine, it's far too weak for a sleeper. I've got a 1.8t in a 1.6 shell and I still don't think it's enough to be a sleeper yet, let alone a 2.0

Well I would start to panic, that is a 2.0, these are the 2 1.6 engine options.

2.0 to confirm yours

start to panic? i have been panicing since i got it home last night, now the question is wtf do i do with it, if i get it checked out legally im gunna have to either change the records over to a 2.0 , which i cant afford to run or insure, and this is just going off the option of it being a engine change, theres still an option that it has the wrong plates on the car, and i would loose the car and the money i spent, id like to know abit more about this crossflow,as that is my only hope now
