Not sure but I think the colour is called carbon grey in UK but united grey in Europe. It really suits the car.
Mk6 GTI Carbon Grey, 2010 Bluetooth and voice fitted, a few VCDS mods still a comfortable family car. Red Scirocco 2011 twin charger stage 1 - enjoyable drive now gone.  White 2016 Polo GTI (roller skate on steroids) replaced with an Indium Grey 2019 7.5 GTI PP.

They're two different colours. Carbon Grey/Carbon Steel Grey:

United Grey:

Great looking car OP, you're right that united grey is very rare over here!

Yeah the code will reveal all but it could well be United Grey, its seems to be one of those colours that changes a lot dependant on light conditions. Have a look here for examples: https://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9231

Carbon was a popular colour on the mk6. The other grey is much lighter and far more popular on the mk5

Well that didn't go as expected.. went to collect yeaterday and after agreeing a part ex with them they said they didnt want to part ex anymore. Sold car quick and made offer 5p0 less than there asking price, they declined it so back to drawing board for me.. was starting to get 2nd thoughts anyway as couldn't prove timing chain tensioner had been done.. might have dodged a bullet.. going looking at a 3 door pesidion black one tomorrow which has proof of timing chain etc.  What's everyones thoughts on the colour?
