i imagine this problem is common so i hope someone can help. i have a 1990 gti 8 valve standard car. but the rev counter dies and the oil light comes on. i have been told its a common fault. is there anything that can be done to rectify this problem without spending a fortune. the car runs fine apart from temperature guage going sky high (recent had gasket repair was told its common too for the overheating problem)
